T451 Conservation and Camp Improvement Project

Assistant Scoutmaster and New Scouts Leader, Mike Millward, gets an idea in his noggin and then makes it a reality. That is no better illustrated than at Camp Raven Knob and our Troop conservation and camp improvement project for the week!

When we arrived Sunday, there was an enormous gully down the right side of the road into Piney Ridge campsite.

Here's a photo of the "Piney Ridge gorge" after Mike and his trusty sidekicks added the first level of rock fill:

Mike talked to the right folks and lined up material.

Mike, REW, and Greg made several trips in Greg's van hauling rock and gravel up to the site.

Later, the Scouts filled the gulley.

What a difference! Scouts and leaders are sucked into the "451 vortex" and "Get 'er done!"
